Author of: Fabric Origami: Variations of Shark's Teeth
Linda is the publisher of Dragon Threads and author of several books and numerous magazine articles. She has a broad-based experience in the fashion fields. Her work spans the gamut from custom high fashion garments to commercially, mass-produced apparel. She has worked as a fashion designer in the New York garment industry with designers Koos van den Akker and Cathy Hardwick and gained her retail experience as a fashion merchandiser and assistant buyer for Macy's New York and a buyer for Victoria's Secret Catalogue.
Linda holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree in Fashion Design from Pratt Institute in New York and has a Home Economics teaching certificate from The Ohio State University. She has taught courses on a number of different needlework subjects.
Her lifelong love of needlework of all types dates back to when she began sewing at the age of eight. With her move to Columbus, Linda began to research and explore smocking and Heirloom sewing techniques.
As part of her ongoing commitment to advance the field, as well as her own knowledge, Linda has been active with organizations in the sewing, needlework and crafts areas. She is currently concentrating on publishing innovative sewing books by new artists and designing embroidery cards.
